2 NOV - Eastern neighbours film festival Collaboration - Rialto Amsterdam

Join us for the Dutch premiere of THE DISTANCE BETWEEN ME AND ME by Mona Nicoara and Dana Bunescu. A documentary about Nina Cassian, a famous Romanian enfant terrible. She was an amazing poet, translator, journalist, pianist, composer and film critic. A fascinating artist whose life was a unique fight between ethics and aesthetics, and who saves herself in fairy tales through fascism, communism and an unwanted exile into capitalism. Special guest: Dana Bunescu, director.

28 SEP - Dear neighbour video installation

Growing up and living in a neighbourhood of apartment blocks is an important aspect of Eastern European life and sociability. Eastwards taps into this potential by curating an anthology of short stories on film in the form of an immersive video installation.

This will take place at the Soep mét liefde - Midden- en Oost-Europa Day at De Nieuwe Regentes Theater in The Hague.
