We are proud to announce that Spotlight: Romania goes on tour for the first time this year, destination: Rotterdam. In partnership with our friends at the Romanian Cultural Centre Rotterdam and Astra Film Festival Sibiu, we invite you for the screening of the fun, beautiful documentary Planeta Petrila.

Mining is more than a profession for Petrila and its inhabitants. As the Petrila mine is facing closure and demolition, local artist Ion Barbu fights to preserve the heritage of the mine and to transform it into a cultural centre. His vision is clear, his weapon is art and his devotion is unquestionable. But will this be enough to succeed?
